How the burrow works.

Everything about burrowpad on one page, in plain words. Read it all, or jump to the bit you need.

01

What burrowpad is

burrowpad is a place to launch memecoins where your wallet is never shown as the creator. You tell us the name, ticker and picture. burrowpad creates the coin through Pons for you, and your launch reaches the chain through Tor, whichever door you came in by. On the chain, the creator is burrowpad.

Every coin also gets its own chat that works like an onion: the more you hold, the deeper you can go. And every trade pays a small fee that goes to the person who launched the coin and to buying and burning $BURROW.

The two doors

Think of burrowpad as a house with two doors. Both lead to the same rooms: the same coins, chats and rewards. Use whichever door you like. Either way, your launch reaches the chain through Tor.

Surface door

Open burrowpad.lol in any browser. Quick and easy, and it works on your phone.

burrowpad.lol

Tor door

The same site, opened in Tor Browser. It goes a layer deeper, and you see new coins first.

Opening the Tor door

  1. 1
Get Tor Browser. Download it from torproject.org. It is free and works on computers and Android phones. On iPhone, use Onion Browser.
  2. 2
Connect. Open Tor Browser and press Connect. Give it a few seconds.
  3. 3
Paste the address. Copy the .onion address above and paste it into the address bar. You are now in the same burrow, through the Tor door.

The .onion address only opens in Tor Browser. In a regular browser it will not load, and that is expected.

How a launch works

We call it a ghost launch. You never create the coin yourself. burrowpad does it for you and sends it to the chain through Tor, so your wallet is never shown as the creator.

1

Fill in your coin

Name, ticker, picture and a short line about it. Add links if you have them.

2

Pay one deposit

You get a one-time deposit address. Send the exact amount from any wallet, even a fresh one.

3

We launch it

As soon as your deposit arrives, burrowpad creates the coin through Pons. The launch reaches the chain through Tor.

4

Keep your pass

You get a secret creator pass, shown only once. Save it. It gives you the DEV tag and lets you post dead drops.

Everybody starts at the same line. Nobody gets coins before everyone else, not even the person who launched it. Want some of your own coin? Buy it on Pons like anyone else.

04

Sealed launches

Like a wrapped present. Launch your coin sealed and its name, ticker, picture and description stay hidden. It shows up with a codename like "Sealed 3F2A" instead.

You pick when it opens:

  • At a time. It opens on the date and hour you choose.
  • At a market cap. It opens once the coin reaches the size you choose.

People can still buy and sell it while it is sealed. Early buyers take a guess, and the big reveal is the fun part.

05

Tor first

Every new coin shows up on the Tor door a few minutes before it shows up on the Surface door.

During that head start the coin wears a Tor first tag, and only people who came in through Tor can see it. When the time is up, everyone can.

Layered chats

Every coin has a chat with three layers, like an onion. The more of the coin you hold, the deeper you can go. Deeper rooms are smaller and quieter.

OuterAnyone

Anyone can read. Sign in with your wallet to write.

InnerHolders

For people who hold the coin. Talk with others who are in it too.

CoreTop holders

For the biggest holders only. The smallest room in the burrow.

Global burrow, the chat for everyone on burrowpad, has two layers: outer for everyone, and core for people holding enough of $BURROW.

07

Masked holders

To chat, you sign in by signing a message in your wallet. It is free and nothing is sent. That is how we know how much you hold.

In chat, people see:

  • An alias, picked at random, like "quiet-fox-42".
  • A badge: Holder, Core, or DEV for the real creator.
  • Your bag as a percent of the coin.

Nobody ever sees your wallet address. Not in chat, and not anywhere else on burrowpad.

Burn after reading

When you send a message, you can set it to burn after 30 seconds, 5 minutes or 1 hour. A small timer counts down next to it.

When the time is up, the message disappears for everyone and is deleted for good. We do not keep a copy.

Dead drops

A dead drop is a locked note the creator leaves on their coin page. The creator decides how much of the coin you need to open it, for example 1%.

Everyone can see the note is there, but it stays locked until you hold enough. Hold enough, and it opens for you.

Creator rewards and burns

Every trade on a burrowpad coin pays a small fee. That fee is split in two:

When you launch, you can add a rewards wallet. Your share of the fees goes there. It can be any wallet you like. It does not have to be the one you paid with. Payouts to it happen on the chain like any other transfer.

Leave the rewards wallet empty and your share is used to buy $BURROW and burn it instead.

Creators who hold enough of $BURROW get a bigger slice: more to the creator and the rest to buying and burning $BURROW.

11

$BURROW perks

$BURROW is the token behind the whole burrow. Holding it gets you a few nice things:

Cheaper launches
Lower fee

Hold enough of $BURROW and your launch fee drops.

Bigger rewards share
Bigger

More of your coin's trading fees come to you.

Core

Hold enough of $BURROW to get into the core of Global burrow.

Fees

Launching a coin costs one payment in ETH. Here is what it covers:

What it pays forEveryone$BURROW holders
Pons launch fee--
Network fee--
burrowpad fee--
You send--

You get the holder price when you sign in with a wallet that holds enough of $BURROW. The network fee can change a little, so the launch page always shows the exact amount to send. That is the only payment.

13

Chat rules

Short and simple. They apply in every chat on burrowpad, from Global burrow to the core of any coin. Break them and your messages get taken down.

  1. Be decent. Argue about coins, not about people. No hate, no threats.
  2. Keep people private. Never post anyone's address, name or anything that shows who they are.
  3. No scam links. No fake airdrops, no "connect your wallet" sites. Anything that asks for a signature or seed phrase gets removed.
  4. Never ask for keys. Nobody here will ever need your seed phrase or private key. Anyone asking is a scammer.
  5. No pretending. Do not act like you are a creator or burrowpad. The real creator has the DEV tag.
  6. No spam. Do not flood the chat or paste the same message in every coin.

FAQ

Do I need Tor to use burrowpad?
No. The Surface door at burrowpad.lol works in any browser, and your launch reaches the chain through Tor whichever door you use. The Tor door just goes a layer deeper, and it sees new coins a few minutes early.
Will my wallet show up as the creator?
No. burrowpad creates the coin through Pons and the launch reaches the chain through Tor, so your wallet is never shown as the creator. You only send a payment, and you can send it from any wallet you want.
Does the person who launched get coins first?
No. Everyone starts at the same line. If you want some of your own coin, buy it on Pons once it is live.
What happens if I send the wrong amount?
Send the exact amount shown on the launch page. The page shows you how much has arrived. If it is short, send the rest before the timer runs out.
What is the creator pass?
A secret code you get right after you start a launch. It is shown only once, so save it somewhere safe. Use it in the Creator room to get your DEV tag, see your rewards and post dead drops.
Where do my creator rewards go?
To the rewards wallet you add when you launch. You get a share of the trading fees, or more if you hold enough $BURROW. If you leave the rewards wallet empty, your share goes to buying and burning $BURROW.
How do you know how much I hold without seeing my address?
You sign a free message with your wallet. We check how much you hold, then give you a random alias. Other people only see the alias, your badge and your bag percent.
Can a sealed coin open early?
No. It opens at the time or size picked at launch, not before. That is the fun of it.
Are burned messages really gone?
Yes. When the timer ends, the message is deleted for everyone and we do not keep a copy.
